I am experimenting with different facial expressions now. Here is Meiyo looking angry. As for the background, I thought fire would be the best since fire sometimes symbolizes anger. Please critique and comment. I want to improve facial expressions.

I'd be angry, too, if my limbs were that disproportionate. I do believe that young woman is suffering from a case of encephalitis.

Childrens' limbs are still proportionate to their body. Is she suffering from dwarfism, perhaps?

For your first attempt with facial expressions, this is very well done. I can definitely see that she is angry in the image, even without the help of the pose. My suggestion for you to try is to work with your eyebrows. I think the eyes you have got down perfectly but the eyebrows in a way contradict the emotion. Those lines would either be a hard line or the bend of the eyebrow would be backwards. Here's an example - I do apologize since the eye is in my style but the eyebrow is the top line: [link] Otherwise, very awesome job with your first attempt! I look forward to more!

as for the background.. though the colors is actually fire colors.. it remind me of sunset more..
